I still sort of miss the old QT3 Planetside romps. Anyone still having fun with this? Is getting going again a simple matter of reinstalling and re-subscribing, or have they thrown expansion purchase barriers in the way?

I'm swamped with reviews at the moment, but my goal is to turn my Planetside account back on in the next month since I'm already paying for EQ2 and it's only $7 more for PS.

I did the same thing, when I set up my account I opted for the station access so I can jump into PS again. HUZZAH
The Station account is a good deal. I'll probably try Star Wars Galaxies eventually since the box with all the expansions is $30 now (destined for $20 soon I'm sure) and you can play that on the Station thingy too. The Matrix Online is part of it now also.

I'm still on Markov NC in the QT3 outfit as Tr1ggerHappy, and I'm Vanu on Emeral in a non-QT3 outfit as TriggerHappyxx.
I have Sony All-Access, just have to get around to reinstalling Planetside, although I am pretting tied up with EQ2 at the moment with an occassional foray into SWG and MxO).

I have no interest in an all-access pass, if I were getting into PS again it would be for Qt3 outfit purposes exclusively. That game always was a hoot with a good squad on voice chat though.

I finally canceled WoW last week (what a great game), so I'm up for it if people are going to do it. Haven't played PS in a while. I think we had Markov / NC and Emerald / Vanu. Which do people prefer?
Do you still have to ask to get your characters reinstated? I was in the mid teens on Markov/NC.
I'm actually trying to worm my way into a Warsong Gulch guild group on Mal'Ganis right now, but I'm only 45 to their 60 so I'll probably get ignored.

Depends, Stroker. The most recent time I resubbed my characters were waiting for me, but the first couple times I had to /appeal to get my Vanu character back, hence the stupid 'xx' crap at the end of my name.
I'd be up for a return engagement on PS as well. I have characters on NC/Markov and Vanu/Emerald. Somebody say the word and I'll re-subscribe :0.

This is a perfect example of an in-game advertisement done wrong. Putting that same ad in a sports game on a stadium billboard, OTOH, woudl actually increase the immersiveness, since real stadiums have ads like that.Wow. That's painful. I like the "You Drink & Drive - You Lose" ad in the HART building. That's pretty funny and not entirely inappropriate. Deuce Bigalow obviously has no place in the game though.
Some of the Qt3 Galaxy pilots used to drive like they were drunk, half the time. I'm lookin' at you, Greg Williams.

I am in :) spent almost 5 hours on this evening. The guild roster is kinda sad... a few people with almost 2 years since their last login, and many around the 1 year point, hehe.
Still have my old NC Markov char, cip. Downloading core combat atm before logging back in.
Last I checked (about 3 months ago) you don't need Core Combat to play.
Only problem is that you can't access the "Caves" without it.
I thnk its one of the nicer ways to "interface" an expansion as apposed
to them having a "2 server" environment - 1 for origional, 1 for Core..
Did they ever make it so you can use a joystick?
