    Favorite recent movie villains?

    1. Kai (? - the one Jet duels at the end) from Romeo Must Die. Damn I love a villain with class, style and flair.
    2. Dominic Toretto, from F&F. Yeah, a lame movie but he's a pretty good villain.
    3. Denzel Washington in Training Day.
    4. Sam Rockwell as Eric Knox in Charlie's Angels.
    5. Guy Pearce as Leonard Shelby in Memento.
    6. Bricktop from Snatch.

Hmm... strange. Except for Bricktop, most of these guys aren't obviously the villains until at least half way through the respective movie.

    - Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber, Die Hard
    - Alan Rickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
    - Hugo Weaving as Agent Smith, The Matrix
    - Clive Owen as a CIA Sniper, The Bourne Identity
    - Jet Li as Wah Sing Ku, Lethal Weapon 4
    - Crispin Glover as the Thin Man, Charlie's Angels
    - Sean Bean as Boromir, The Lord of the Rings
    - Michael Madsen as Mr. Blonde, Reservoir Dogs
    - Gary Cole as Lumbergh, Office Space

I'm sure I'm forgetting some good ones, but this is off the top of my head.

I think Alan Rickman played the best movie villain, ever, in Die Hard. Hit every possible stereotype.

Robert Patrick in T2. Unfortunately, he did not vary his character much when he moved to The X-Files.
