Probably doing the same thing I do every year: fly down on Thursday morning, fly back on Thursday night.
It is time.

Not going to enjoy the sights and sounds of Los Angeles? Tsk.Originally Posted by Union Carbide

I'll be going for the entire week, press conferences and all. I do love me some press conferences.
I'm heading in on Sunday to set up camp. I'll need lots of booze. Show me where there is booze.
I'll be there on Thursday.
Shower me with the love that only this festival of lights can bring.
hmmmm, sounds like a good idea. Maybe I should do that.Originally Posted by Union Carbide
If you don't have to be there for professional reasons, and you've been there before, you really only need one day to see everything, I've found.
I wonder who PGNx will send to the event?
Okay, but when NCSoft gives out free dragons on Friday, you don't get to ride mine.Originally Posted by Union Carbide

Eh, I'm not going this year...going to Comic-Con instead. I just gotta put together my "Mad Bomber What Bombs At Midnight" costume.
So no live demo of They Came From Hollywood on the show floor?

Unfortunately, part of that costume is a black bag that says "BOMBS" on it in big yellow letters. Can't bring that on the plane.
Well, also the actual bombs. Those might be a problem. Guess I can always assemble them when I get there.
The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight is the best Tick character ever. Wisely, they never over-use him.

I'm going to the exhibit days. It's my island of gaming in a Wedding oriented year.
I don't think I'll be going this year (probably next year), instead I'll probably go to August's QuakeCon.
One would think the reason it takes so long to see everything is because of all the interviews and writeups, right?
Is that a travel distance decision? Because otherwise, missing this year's E3 in favor of QuakeCon seems to border on insanity.Originally Posted by Igor Murashkin
I wish it was, but I don't think I can fit it into this year's busy schedule, I have a bunch of exams on the week of E3 :).Originally Posted by MattKeil
Is anyone setting up a meet? Not that I'm likely to make it, but this year's more of a possibility than past years.
I'm going, and I'm a virgin (to E3 that is.)
I'm arriving Monday, coming back Friday.
Looks like I'll be going as well.
One of the miracles of E3 is that it restores virginity.Originally Posted by Dean
Definitely going to be there. Monday in, Saturday out.
I'd be willing to try and do a meet... but I have no idea how my evenings are looking yet.
hahaha- It will make you at least a little ashamed to game, thats for sure. I took the GF one year... whooooo... bad move. "what the fuck is with all the motards?"Originally Posted by Andrew Mayer
I'd guess it is really annoying to have to actually do some work at the show too, with the unwashed masses stinking up the place. (Yeah, that'd include me, though this time I'm going through work but not *for* work.)
I don't know if I'd be that interested in going to E3 if I didn't have to work. Like others have said, you can do all you need to do in a day if you're not working the whole time. I can only watch the same demo reel a couple times before I need to run back to our booth to relax (relatively speaking)
I'm a two day man. One day to walk the floor, one day to go back and see the things that I liked the first time, and "feel the Zeitgeist".
