No video, no sound, no WoW :(

So I went to start up my PC the other day and it's not sending video to the monitor or audio to the speakers. I can't tell if it's booting up normally, all I can hear is the fan noise. I removed the video card and re-seated it with no change, and I honestly have no clue where to even start troubleshooting this from here.

    Any ideas?

pc diagnostics usually entail swapping questionable components for known-good ones. Stick some other videocard in there to start.

This is, of course, the best advice. But I love how we all just presuppose that everybody just has video cards just lying around on the floor and in the bathroom and under the bed.

    :D

Personally I have no less than 47 random PC boards sitting in a drawer in my basement along with the 6 computers (even a Mac Classic!) and endless cables. So if you don't have an extra video card now Matt, go out and buy a cheapie card like this or something and start collecting!

MMmmm sounds like the CPU isn't seated all the way. Hope you didn't fry it... that happened to me once when the heatsink became unhitched slightly and lost proper contact with the core.
