Ass-tastic! Is it just me, or do these in-game screenshots actually look WORSE than the ones originally released for the game over a year ago?

Also, I have never, ever played a FPS where the words "you hit so-and-so for 15 armor damage" appeared in a little scrolling text box on the screen. This concerns me.

It's looking more and more like Halo PC and BF1942 will still be the vehicular combat games of choice this summer.

This is one MMORPG that I'm looking forward to. I don't think the graphics look that bad. I'll withhold my fianl judgement till I'm actually playing the game.

Uggh.. i take that back. These graphics do look prteyy bad. Hopefully they aren't finalizied and will be tweaked a bit before the game goes retail. I hope anyway.

I think they need some strong word of mouth from gamers that tells me I really am missing out by not paying for this game.

I think it's more about the gameplay. The screens are good enough. If they can deliver lag-free battles with 50+ players and create some kind of compelling persistence in both the player-characters and gameworld, they'll have a winner.

I'm thinking this may end up being another C&C Renegade, but I suppose anything is possible. I am not hopeful based on that writeup.

Maybe next time they can raytrace their initial screenshots, before doing some final touchup in photoshop for that "pixel shader" look.

I'm with Mark; if the gameplay is good, people will pay to play the game (including me). I'd love a game that is like Tribes, but with tons more people and with a persistent world. I'd pay for that even if the graphics weren't awesome.
