If you look at the vote totals inside the counties of the US, a way surprising trend shows up.
Freaky. Super-democratic areas vs. slightly-Republican centered divided areas.
Looking at that chart, I'm sorely tempted to say the reason Democrats are considered "out of touch elitists" is that, unlike for Republicans, there's a lot of Democrats who never, ever see Republicans.
Hmm, then again, it could also be districts that are virtually 100% black. Need more data.....
