I wish I could afford League Xtra etc. book 2

    $25.00

Alan Moore is pretty good. I mean, come on. But I have this weird obsession with Kevin O'Neill. At one time I had all of the Marshal Law stuff (including Euro imports) and a shit-ton of the old Nemesis stuff as well. And the Clive Barker serial stuff.

But $25 sure is a lot for a comic book these days.

If you're talking about League of Extraordinary Gentlemen vol 2, don't bother. It's rubbish, especially compared to TEH MAJESTY that is vol 1.

Flaming Sheep is just plain wrong. League Volume 2 is awesome. It's worth 25 bucks.

Rubbish? Wow. Is League 1 better? Yes. Is League 2 better than 90% of all comics extant. Yes.

Also, enough with the hardbound graphic novels, which tacks on at least ten more bucks. I will not buy your hardbound graphic novels, so stop trying. Sooner or later you'll cave and the softbound edition will come out (later, quietly, almost an abject admission of guilt for your money-grubbing ways, because OOPS nobody bought the stupid harcover), and then I win!

IF you buy your Hardcover Graphic Novels at Buy.com they cost only a little more than the softcover equivalent.

Free shipping over $25, so buy two...

I love the hardcover GNs. I don't buy them often enough that I really care about the money, and a hardcover just looks and feels so much more like a real book. But I guess that's just me.
