    Soldner, Zoldner, etc.

So, who's been brave enough to pick up the US retail version?

I gave up on this game after five disastrous betas (2 press demos, 1 in-house beta, 2 public beta/demos). Should I go back and pick it up?

No, nei, nein, not at all.

Soldner is amazingly poo,... ok, maybe not amazingly.. you know, you played the demos. The full version is a larger version of that.

    2/10 Saks.

'Tis a shame too because the idea is pretty cool and I like Teut; too bad things don't seem to be playing out well for this title.

And these guys made the superlative Panzer Elite.

I guess the old Andy Hollis chestnut about "our sim team could really make a killer FPS and that's where the money is" didn't work in Wings' case.

I still play that. The terrain ends up being way too bumpy to tolerate, the graphics haven't aged well at all, but the German who says "loading special AP" sounds positively gleeful and sadistic at the thought of putting some hot shot up the rear end of a Sherman.
