If it happens, I'm sure N will do something new and unusual with a video camera peripheral but it is funny to see Iwata's eyetoy lust get the better of him... ;)
Imitator-Camera and Person Copy Imitator Camera? Hmm, still no clue? But run a beady eye over those logos again and what's this? A camera on each and one of them pointing to what looks like a GameCube, hidden in amongst the Japanese characters.
Could this be the dawn of an new EyeToy-style peripheral for the 'Cube or maybe even the Revolution? Who knows? But it sure means something. We just haven't figured out what yet.

Yup. Miyamoto mentioned gameye at e3 2004, too. Though, it seems that what the computerandvideogames article refers to is a video camera for cube.
Here's Miyamoto's e3 quote...
http://cube.ign.com/articles/368/368040p1.htmlIGNcube: What sorts of new things are you looking to bring to the market? Are you working with new technologies, which potentially change the nature of the games interface (like the Sony EyeToy for example)?
Miyamoto: You may recall a year or two ago at Space World we did the 100 Marios demo and this year we showed off the GameEye for Game Boy Advance. Those are some of the ideas we are looking to explore further and bring out some new ideas that incorporate new gameplay elements into the games which we are working on in the future. It is exciting, but I cannot say much more about the directions we are exploring. It is fun to see where we can go though.
