    According to the strict interpretation of abortion (destroying a fertilized egg or what came of it) the morning-after pill performs an abortion, hence the ruckus. There was a similar debate in Germany and many other countries about the introduction of RU486, the first such pill. I'm surprised that you haven't heard about it.

    Yeah, but in Europe the conceptioners don't have veto power. I don't understand how anyone can possibly consider this abortion, for that matter, seeing how something like 2/3rds of fertilized eggs abort themselves.
