Hey Rorschach no one is targetting you. And it has nothing to do with "passionately wanting it to be something that I am looking for"... the game IS what I am looking for, in general the design seems solid (except for the UI decisions) and many of the ideas are good ones.
I'm here talking about it, because it embodies much of what we all look for in a 4X game. The issue is the UI, which makes it difficult to play this (probably) very good game. Playing games should not be work.
Now I have no beef with you, in fact I think it's great that you have the patience to come and contribute to this forum and discuss the game, so NONE of this is aimed at you. But I am seriously aggravated by the bullshit attitude of the developers that somehow their UI is good and we just dont "understand" it. It's goddamn frustrating to have a game with such potential ruined by shitty UI design... and it happens time and time again in the 4X genre.
They could have simply copied MOO2's UI for god sakes!! It wouldnt have changed the underlying game, it just would have made it playable!
Anyway, you're right, enough about that. Thanks for being here Rorschach.
I have a relevant question that is not (directly, anyway) related to the above griping. Will the game be moddable to any extent?
