What's your take? From the mush-mouthed press conference, the lackadaisical developer support (which has gotten better, I'm told), and the anemic marketing push (which is supposed to be huge, but mostly from T-Mobile, not Google), I'm not seeing how Android looks like a project that Google has put on the front burner. Or maybe they are and they just don't know how to ship a product that's as polished as the iPhone. It
is a perfectly nice operating system and I like it fine. But it doesn't seem like it has the full benefit of the thousands of engineers and effectively limitless resources that Google could put behind it. It seems like a side project. (But then again, what project from Google
doesn't?)
