This is the kicker. I work in an industry that is 99% piracy proof, and people bragging about pirating games still piss me off. Not only because it's just not terribly polite to steal from someone and then brag about what a great pickpocket you are and how your mark's wallet needs to be made of a better quality leather, but also because piracy is seriously damaging the PC gaming industry, much as it killed the Atari ST and Amiga gaming industries.
I'm well aware almost everyone pirates games (and I used to as well)... just don't *remind* me of it. Or try to make it socially acceptable.
I'm reminded of a MMO 3rd party server thread, which had much the same "I hate the game/developers/you so I shouldn't pay a monthly fee, but still be able to play it" justifications.
