You know, I used to have a lot of respect for Colin Powell. Damnit.

"We [the U.S.]will accept no outcome that, in any way, attempts to remove the elected president of Haiti," [Powell] said.

Well, when Haiti gets an elected president in office, then that statement might be worth something. However, Jean-Bertrand Aristide is widely suspected of stealing the last election, and the rampant hostility the entire country is directing towards him would seem to support that.

God damn, Powell is a sell-out.

Although you have to consider the possibility that he was handed that statement to read. Although my respect for him has been waning anyway for the past three years, because he's spent that time working for Bush.

I already have considered that possibility... in fact, I'm almost sure of it. However, I remember at the beginning of the administration, he was a principled man that didn't always follow marching orders. (Or he wasn't given orders... I don't know which.)
