Here's a slashdot topic, http://games.slashdot.org/games/04/01/15/1956219.shtml?tid=126&tid=127&tid=186&tid=95
on opening a Geek Gaming Center. I just brought this up because of the discussion in this thread (www.quartertothree.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7646).

Somehow this comes to mind (www.quartertothree.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=122992&highlight=geek#122992).
The slashdot stuff covered most of it. Definitely membership driven (the idea is to create communities) with the alternative of a time-based single fee.
The only thing I didn't see on that thread that is interesting is adding on sleeping quarters to the facility. Perhaps its more trouble than its worth, but that way the place can cater to mini-vacationers as well (a gaming resort). Casinos already do this with the hotel attachment so its not like it lacks precedence. I have no problem with spending 8+ hours continuously playing a game, so its not a stretch to assume some gamers will want to spend 2-3 days gaming. Just make sure the rooms have showers...
