They kept showing that on the Daily Show last night. Comedy gold!

Phew. That gets more and more painful the more i look at it.

Funny though. At first i thought you were saying that the funny part was where the guy pushing us to a war talked about making the world a peaceful place, hehe.

Oh, man.

As someone who really likes President Bush, that was really hard to watch.

I'll bet that makes a great transcript:

"Fool me once, shame on. Shame on you. Fool me, we can't get fooled again."

Great stuff! Post links to more of these!

They embroidered it on pillows on the Daily Show...

Why do I suddenly feel as if my favorite Who song has just been butchered by Bush?

"There's an old saying in Tennessee...Well, we have it in Texas, I'm sure they have it in Tennessee, too..."

Ugh. Now that's funny!

Bush ain't got no drinking problem. Drinking ain't no problem at all.... :)

I know he says he gave up the sauce, but damn he sounds bagged when he gives speeches.

I just watched that clip, dumbfounded, no less than three times on that single episode of the Daily Show. Well, we (with some nudging from the UberScalia) elected him.

Every single day I just look in the mirror and wonder how the hell we got here. Fleisher, Rove, Card and Bush running the White House. Geraldo and Banfield keeping 'em honest with that great journalism.

We're so screwed.

Speaking of Geraldo, I'm surprised no one has ever mentioned what a chameleon that guy is. When Clinton was in office, he was the cabana boy of the Democratic party on MSNBC. Now, the elephants are in office and Geraldo switched to Fox News and is happily scooping up said Elephant's droppings.

Three years ago, Rush Limbaugh hated Geraldo -- now Geraldo's his favorite bitch!

Why or why did my parents bother to teach me integrity? What a useless trait.

Maybe you did...I sure as hell didn't.

Did anyone watch the entire clip? Are there any other silly mistakes in it, or is it a fifteen minute speech with one error? I think Shrub is an idiot, but I'm always skeptical about the clips of his mistakes because it reminds me of the media coverage of President Ford. He had been given the reputation as a klutz by the media, but he was actually quite athletic. He'd spend a whole day skiing or playing tennis, eat it once or hit his doubles partner with the ball, and the fall or error would be the only footage to make the news.

I'm surprised that President Cheney lets this kind of footage remain on a White House server.

Assuming Bushims is accurate most of the time, he gaffes daily. Sort of the equivalent of Ford ALWAYS falling down Air Force One stairs. How many times have other President's gaffed as spectacularly as that one? What I find funny about that clip is when he realizes he's lost it. He gets this mad look on his face.

I watched the entire clip and it gave me the impression I typically have of his speeches: he's over-coached. He doesn't seem to be listening to his own words. There's an awkward flow to his sentences, like he's going to break into laughter and say "I can't believe I'm DOING this! I'm the PRESIDENT! How cool is that?"

His impromptu talk at Ground Zero in NYC was good (when he was talking through the bullhorn). It was more extemporatneous than usual and came off well. I honestly think he has a hard time relaxing when giving speeches -- which is odd for a politician.

His demeaner also doesn't relay a lot of confidence to the audience. Granted, there are times when he does very well, but those times are rare. It reinforces the belief that he may not really be the one in charge because he appears so awkward in public.

For the record, I'm an objective observer. I don't care for the two-party system; I personally wish we could vote for someone on merits rather than what team they're playing for. I'm judging the man, not the party.

Unfortunately, W. keeps proving that the Who's prayer in that song wasn't answered.

That's just about the smartest thing anyone's ever said on this board.

Unfortunately, no, that prayer has not and probably will not be answered.
