Not that anyone here cares, but i'm excited so i'll share the love.

Here in Sacramento AT&T Broadband sent out a packet stating that starting August 1st they'll be offering 65 new channels. Good lord, that's a lot! And suprisingly enough not many of them are Spanish. Some of the highlights include TechTV(I'll admit, I used to dig the Screensavers back in the day, i'm a dork), G4 Media (the gaming channel), MTV2, a couple new VH1 channels, a couple new history and discovery channels, and ESPN Classic. Best part is that the place i live in downtown has free premium cable for residents, i just need to get off my ass and go get the cable box.

I've watched a lot of G4. Tommy Tallarico is a moron. He's on their review program Judgement Day and clearly has no idea what great gameplay is. He's almost embarrassing to watch. His foil, Victor Lucas is almost always too easy on bad games by comparison. So that show is tough to watch but still worthwhile for all the game footage. I've got to play Wipeout Fusion after seeing it on there.

The programming is pretty cool overall though. Icons has been excellent with programs on Shigeru Miyamoto, Nolan Bushnell, Lara Croft and Pac-Man that I've seen so far. The interviews are great. Steve Kent shares a ton of great info on Pac-Man. Miyamoto is clearly still somewhat of a boy genius.

Anyway, you'll probably enjoy the channel especially if you've got any interest in console games. They cover all formats, but consoles get more play than PCs I think. The only really bad show is Portal. That's just terrible.
