I picked up a used copy of Poser 3 and all the related suite of programs from Metacreations. Stuff is a little over 4 years old but I imagine will suit my needs. However every single one of them bombs out with an out of memory error. The reason? My pc has too much memory. I have a 1gig in my winxp system and I have to remove half of it to get any of them to work. Not really an option nor upgrading to the latest version as the cost would be cheaper to just buy another system but with little ram. Each disk has a mac version but my powermac 7500 mac is on the other end of the scale and too slow. I tried a program that limits memory for games called 2muchmem but it didn't work. I know they have programs to slow cpu speed for games, are there programs to limit ram for older games and apps? Any other thoughts on a work around?
