Fantastic art gallery (warning: may be lots of pictures)

Seeing as how we have such a diverse and ecletic representation of people here, I thought it would be a nice to have a thread devoted to posting pictures of your favorite, well-loved visual art, in the area of the fantastic, whether it be design, classical, from games or movie sketches, illustration, whatever. I've been on a trip for this ever since I received my TTT Extended Edition from overseas, so I'd like to see what your favorite fantastic art is (read: not just fantasy, if you think there's a difference and I tend to).

I suppose posting links would be more economical, but I personally think its more striking to see lots of pictures all over the page. Its up to you, but I prefer this thread to be broadband elitist! :D

In any case, though I enjoy an extremely wide array of world and visual arts, I think I'll stick to the Japanese manga side, as that's unlikely to be as well-plumed I think, and post some that resides in my own line of work, so mine will probably be mostly manga art. Please feel free to contribute either way, I'd appreciate seeing your choices. Art rocks! WOO!

Ha! Here I was going through the archives of Epilogue.net, which has been such an awesome recommendation and I see this wonderful, wonderful work by Benjamin Sones. Unless you have a twin somewhere, very cool cork, Ben. I didn't know you did stuff like this, but its awesome. What a great surprise!

Oh and Anders, you know there its awfully trend to see a lot of quotes in German lately in games and anime? Its the same thing with eating flowers, but somehow its related to being exceptionally taken with Ophelia. I like Ophelia too, but even I don't get this. :P

BTW, Angie thanks for that one fox emblem picture, its been my desktop wallpaper for a while now. :)

Oh and Anders, you know there its awfully trend to see a lot of quotes in German lately in games and anime?
Well, it is the best language out there when one wants to be pretentious and angsty (there is a reason we named our high-school movie "Die Angst der Engel", and it's that after laughing at how pretentious and dorky it was, we couldn't come up with a single name that was better).
Of course, when a certain anime that is just too angsty and bishy for its own good accidentially pronounces "Weiss" so that it sounds like the Swedish word for poop it does make for the only poop-joke I've laughed at the last ten years or so.

Thanks! I don't have a whole lot up there right now, and it's not particularly representative of my work (which is mostly digital, like the self portrait). Eventually I'll get around to sudmitting more.

There are some really talented artists that have galleries on that site, though. I browse it on a daily basis.
