A while back, a long while back actually, my best friend and I were watching PBS and there was a program on about a sculpture that we THINK was commissioned in Minneapolis that was so hated that the official that requested it had windows broken out and lots of threats.

Does anyone know what artist that was?

People hate mobiles that much? Sheesh.
In Melbourne, Australia, there was a commisioned sculpture that was eventually moved from the main mall to an industrial estate because it was disliked. It was a pretty ugly piece of angular shapes of sheet metal painted bright yellow. Noone really complained about the move.

There's a surprising amount of hated sculptures throughout the world.
