I've got this interesting little problem with Internet Explorer and forums... I'm not sure if it's realted but I also have an odd process in the Taskmanager..

The IE thing is this, when ever I hit the'enter' key to go down a line the currently slected window gets unselected and I have to click back on the window to reactivate it....

The other thing is in taskmanager ... it's called "systemie.exe" and seems to load itself up randomly ... I have about 5 instances of it right now.. I can kill it without any programs closing... though it does take it's time to close... it is also using about 1.5 megs of precious RAM...

I've update ad-aware and run it, but didn't find anything.. I have also run Spybot with out finding anything... Pop up stopper shows it's "stopped a popup" cursor whenever I close IE.. but no popups show if I disable it..

So what do you think... .a new virus.. or a new spyware proggie sucking the life away from my beastette.??
... I can kill 4 out of the 5 instances.. but when ever I try to kill the last one it gives birth to 4 more instances and refuses to die...

I can't find this thing in regedit, and I can find it in a normal file search... I don't know what it is..
-= help?

I find the following site really useful when trying to find information about processes:

http://www.answersthatwork.com/

They have a list of almost every common process and it's a good indicator if something shouldn't be there.

it's cool I fixed it.

I searched for it in the registry again.. the first time I put "sytemie.exe" but found nothing.. so I just searched for "systemie" and found it... couldn't delete it from within "normal mode" , rebooted to safe mode and deleted it there... fixed everything...

if you are going to do this remember to back up the reg first..

thanks for yer help.
