Here's all the high-profile multi-platform games coming out this month, all within a week of each other.

08 November - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
11 November - Aliens: Colonial Marines
11 November - Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
15 November - Saints Row 3
15 November - Assassin's Creed: Revelations
15 November - Need for Speed: The Run

While, of course, many of us will get more than one of these, what game are you going to start with?

Colonial Marines is high profile? I had already forgotten that this title existed until you mentioned it. I'm surprised they throw it to the wolves in the holiday rush.

Ok, fair enough, I just went through the 360 and PS3 lists, found what was common, and removed any really-obvious kiddie titles.

The official Website says the Aliens game is Spring 2012....

Colonial Marines doesn't come out until next Spring.

Skyrim is the first thing I am playing on that list.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Saints Row: The Third
A game not on this list! U R BIAS

I can't choose multiple so I picked Skyrim, though it's a lie and I'll be playing MW3 first technically

Skyrim would be first since it comes out first.

Well, ok, don't pick Aliens then.

(Not like any of you were going too!)

I'll pass on both skyrim and saints row to wait for goty + dlc versions. The rest of the month will be filled by the backlog.

The new Assassin's Creed is my last full price, new game of the year. Nothing but Steam sale after that.

I voted Skyrim, but I'm playing on my PC.

Agreed. But that's October.

This is going to go over well.

Unless you're waiting for the PC version.

Skyrim, easily. I may rent Ass Creed or NFS later, and probably won't play any of the others on this list.

Has anyone mentioned Populous yet?

Skyrim all the way for me!

Aliens: Colonial Marines is the only game on that list that isn't a tired, generic rehash.

Can't help thinking DX3 was very well timed and Rage would have sunk even more like a stone if it had come out a few weeks later, given all this.

Amazing day on November 15 with SR3 and AC:R (and have both coming to me day one) but I suspect SR3 will come first. I wish I got the Skyrim love, but after Oblivion I'm a bit wary.

Fallout 3 came between Oblivion and Skyrim. I have hope they'll maintain that level of quality.

That's true, Fallout 3 did fix many of my issues with Oblivion -- I'm hoping that those carry over to Skyrim (better scaling -- or no scaling, better skill-up system, etc.). If so, I'm definitely on board.

Amen.

Play the game without your little cheaty tweaks, ladies.

I don't use the cheats. I just have a problem with the original butt ugly faces.

MattKeil
11-03-2011, 08:45 PM
That's not really a problem in Skyrim.

True. The videos have shown decent looking people. No mods it is! /cross fingers

Please, you're going to want to pickup the inevitable unofficial patch mods at the very least.

And the nude mod, of course.

And the Use My Big Dick As A Giant Club mod. That one's always lots of fun.

I may be the only person on the planet uninterested in Skyrim, so I went with Modern Warfare 3, just because it's out next week. I can blow through the campaign and dip my feet in the online play in time for Assassin's Creed to take me away from all this.

Skyrim, of course. This is a boring question since its relatively obvious what is most popular here on Qt3.

But he clearly asks about console games, and my impression is that most of the Qt3 crowd is probably going to be playing Skyrim on the PC...

I bet there's some strange inversion of worlds and MW3 gets a really good SP campaign while MP tanks as more of the same...
