A friend of mine yesterday forwarded me an e-mail from someone he knows, which originally came from Newsmax. It told of how "the Quartet" of the US, EU, Russia, and the UN were planning to seize all land in Israel back to the 1967 borders and give it to the Palestinians, on July 26 or sometime in September. Also included: a convenient link to DONATE NOW AND SPREAD THE WORD.

The information therein was either demonstrably false (they misquoted Obama's books and speeches repeatedly) or Bo Gritz level conspiracy theory (the UN invading Israel?)

In researching the story to assure my friend it was false, I found many articles that are talking about a related item. It's amazing how some of these guys have developed their ability to twist truth just enough to rile up the crazies. Time was, a good conspiracy theory involved space aliens and commies in dark corners.
