View Full Version : Warcraft 3 Gold?
Does anyone care? Avault is "reporting" this as coming from Blizzard, even though Blizzard's web site makes no mention of this.

It looks like Blizzard sent out a press release.
I've always had fun with Blizzard titles, so I'll play it. I'm not as excited about this as I was about Diablo 2, however.
Yep, it's gold officially now.
I thought the beta was so-so, but I am looking forward to the single player game!

Yeah, I wasn't knocked off my feet by the multiplayer beta. No matter what they do, I'm convinced that battle.net games will be five minute rush jobs. I'm just not crazy about that kind of multiplayer anymore.
It's the single-player game and the skirmish mode I'm most looking forward to. I really enjoyed the single-player game and skirmish mode in Starcraft.

Blizzard cracks me up. After years of subscribing to the "when it's done" schedule of gaming development, they decide to release WC3 early during a time of an unprecedented amount of new releases.
Well, here's to hoping it's everything they say it is.

They're putting it out when there's a few good titles around, but once again, the dreaded high price tag has been applied. $59.99! That's criminal. They can keep it.

Does it bother/amaze/shock anyone that they claim 4.5 MILLION preorders? (<-- had to put that there, since everyone else is trying them out)

Not really. This has probably been the most highly-anticipated game in the last three years, no? Or at least one of them. While that number is higher than I would have guessed, it's not too much so.

I'm sure that's just Retail Orders not actual orders. ie.. Best Buy ordered 200,000 copies for their 2,000 stores (or whatever) I would guess there's a built in "we can return copies not sold by date X" clause

i play many different types of games, but this time, i wont be playing warcraftIII. for some reason i just dont think its interesting anymore...
i think rts needs a change... new race new units just dont do it anymore. plus if it sells for $60, im definitely saving the money for something else, maybe a good dinner with my girlfriend

Heh, I didn't even see the date. I thought blizz was releasing a "gold" version of warcraft3 with the expansion bundled in.

I thought this too until I realized there's already a "Battle Chest" version of Warcraft 3.

Ditto. But alas, he just decided to use his 2nd post -a year after his first- towards being a moron in a thread last posted in a year before he joined.
What the fuck is your major malfunction, Private Pyle?

Yeah - most people seem to play modded versions that are more RPG-ish on battle.net, it seems.
