Is there anywhere else to download iOS4?

It's taken me 45 minutes to get as far as iTunes letting me begin a download, and now it keeps timing out.

Anyone got any handy links for anywhere else I can grab the update? I vaguely remember this being possible in the past, right?

Is this why I can't even start the update? I connected my iPhone to my laptop and iTunes synched it as usual. In the iPhone info tab, it says "A newer version of the iPhone software is available (version 4.0). To update your iPhone with the latest software, click Update". OK great, I'd like to do that.

So I click the Update button (the one right next to the above block of text), and a pop-up dialog says "This version of iTunes (9.1.1) is the current version". Uh, yeah. Whatever. So I click OK, and then nothing happens...

The files that Gordon Bleu linked, can I download them to my laptop and then somehow update locally? Is it simple to do, or should I just wait a couple of days for the whole world to finish updating?

Despite the above message, 9.1.1 is not the most current version of iTunes. Go to iTunes.com and download iTunes 9.2. Then you'll be able to use the integrated iPhone update feature, or manually update via Gordon's link.
