Help! Computer failure!

So I wake up this morning, and turn on my computer... And the thing hangs before the Memory Test.

The text at the bottom of the screen, that usually says "Press Del to enter setup, press esc to skip memory test" now says "Press Del to enter setup, press esc to"

I'm not sure what to think here. The thing is posting, it's just hanging immediately prior to the memory test. Any ideas?

Bad memory, bad motherboard. It's definitely memory related. If you've got two sticks in there, try them one at a time. If that doesn't help, grab another stick from Best Buy, or some place with a good return policy.

If that doesn't check out, then my guess is mainboard or CPU failure.
