URL linking...What's the deal?

Is there a security reason (some?) people here are suddenly unable to make attractive links with URL tags and instead have to shove in the whole http:/bla bla bla? I mean, perhaps it's just force of habit, but it's a real impediment at times. Whenever I try to use the URL tags, the text just becomes invisible when previewed. In case it matters, I am using Mozilla 1.2x, but the reason I bring it up is because I have seen others complain, and noticed that everyone has suddenly shifted to just writing out the whole address.

I'll be damned. And they even used classy words like "embed". Thanks for clearing that up for me.

The problem is that the URL help text still says you have to put the HTTP in there.
