Sounds like one of those renter scams. Normally, people who are looking to rent a room in their won place, or to rent a place from someone, would be at the receiving end of one of these emails.

It is a check cashing scam.
How the scam works is that they will send you a money order or cashier's check for the rent and deposit, once you deposit the check they will ask you to wire a portion of the money to them . . . the problem is that the check/money order if FAKE so once the bank figures that out, they will want YOU to pay them back the money you wired.

Basically, if they want to send you a check/money order and then for any reason want you to wire any portion of the money back, DON'T!

It seems off somehow and grammatically unamerican (not in the patriotic sense but cultural). It then hits this "i'll go out with you on weekends" note - no-one in America tells their potential landlord they're willing to hang out on weekends for kicks, point blank, before meeting them.

I can't clearly see the angle though, unless this email is fishing for a response then "she" sends a cute pic and then requests you help her with travel expenses....

[edit] NM probably answered above.

Her use of the word "will" ("I will like to know..." "I will like to have answers", etc) is completely non-idiomatic for an American, which is the tip off that the writer is foreign. And since you shouldn't trust anyone who wasn't born in the US of A it is clearly a scam.

You shouldn't trust someone who claims to have been born and raised in Wisconsin but obviously wasn't.

As someone from Wisconsin, it's clear that she's not. We say, "The Netherlands," and we don't capitalize every Noun in a Sentence unless We took German in High School. It's also a B.S., not a B.Sc. There are lots of little things that non-native speakers will never pick up on, such as the fact that certain postal abbreviations are not used in the U.S. Midwesterners also do not sign letters, "Warmest Regards," when they want something, we say, "Thanks in advance!" or, "Sincerely." We are convivial, but aloof. Contrast us with Californians, who profess to love each other, and hug quite a bit more often, yet plot against each other incessantly.

We're Germans and Poles and Swedes and Wegies, as opposed to Italians and Frenchies. We see talking about our feelings as a form of procrastination.

To be fair, "Wisconsin" was probably a typo. She probably meant to type "Fort Atkinson Nigeria."
