All I can see is it has a clean interface and looks simple. Otherwise the "about" tells almost nothing about it.

tried it, but maybe I am not one to be commenting on it because I lost interest after a week.

It is essentally a play for 10 minutes every day clicking extravaganza- where you go to work.... and I guess talk to your friends in the game.
Thats about it. I never did combat against an enemy, as the US was not at war, but it would probably be more trivia and clicking.
Unless you have friends on it, the easy trivia and menial clicking gets boring fast, and although it is free it really has no staying power.

I find wurm online a much better free alternative. www.wurmonline.com

I tested erepublik, uhm some people like it, but sometimes I think free games have a gazillion players no matter how sucky they are.

Wurmonline seems interresting, but looking at the webpage I have -no- clue what it actually is.

I lost interest after about a week as well. The political organisations were the major draw for me, but once you realise there is no hope of ever rising in the ranks since you started so late the game becomes boring.

I live in Australia, so I chose to reside in Australia in the game, and then discovered that it had been taken over by Indonesia. When I went to work, they ask you these questions, and since Indonesia was the new overlords most questions were about Indonesian politics or geography which I have no clue about. The game was just a chore for me.
