No. This HAS to be a joke.

Hahahahahahaha!

"As well as forming Nigaz, Russia is keen on developing a trans-African pipeline to transport Nigerian gas to Europe."

I bet some stiff upper lips at the BBC are being tested as they report this story.

It's ok, I'm sure they pronounce it Nigh-gaz.

Look, we are now a part of history (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8130334.stm). Well, sort of, if you pretend that the media's unholy obsession with twitter and facebook includes all internet discussion.

The BBC's obsession with twitter is embarrassing. When you quote people called "ChocolateMezzo", you should know that your journalistic standards are crumbling.

But saying "Shut yo mouf" is not and I'm sure a bunch of you found it funny.

I think it's awesome that you think it's awesome to say "I think it's awesome..." as a means of indicating something isn't.

Just to be clear, is this a defense of the transformer twins by pointing out alleged hypocrisy on the part of their critics? Because that's what you're hinting at with your choice of words.

How awesome? Would you rate the awesomeness as a 9.5, or a 9.7?

Keep in mind that this awesomeness is brought to you by Activision.

Pretty much.

Pretty much.
Yes, that's what I figured. It's a shame, because you might actually have a point worth talking about in your second attempt in this thread. But considering the source and the motive, you don't and it's a waste of time.

Jose Liz

It's still a valid point. Maybe defense is too strong of a word but I find it difficult to believe that people who find "shut your mouf" humorous are somehow deeply appalled and offended at the twins. You're either okay with both or neither.

And again, you're wrong.

Sure, it's possible that it's a valid complaint in that specific instance if we completely ignore all context, but considering the source it is a cheap ploy.

You are not a white supremacist, but you are Jose Liz. I'm guessing since you're a product of the asshole factory that is Wharton undergrad, you have long ago adopted American whiteness as your real identity, and whatever Jose comes from is just a convenient check in the box for some employer seeking to fulfill diversity requirements in the most superficial way possible. That's fine, but it doesn't give you license to pretend others should be required to make the same compromise.

Or maybe we should set aside the psychoanalysis bullshit and just assume nobody felt it was particularly worthwhile to play the role of Obvious Race Issue Pointer Outer for a couple of semi-anonymous individuals in a thread acting out yet again. Which has precious little to do with what they felt about a multimillion dollar film using explicit minstrel imagery to amuse people in the worst traditions of American entertainment. I know I looked at it and did the math of whether it was worth it to have that conversation (again) so that people like you could have their little festival of easily repeated bullshit.

The fact is, Jose, you are oblivious to how easy it is to remain superficially logical but fundamentally wrong in every way. It's pretty much your signature move, and coupled with your brazen ignorance it's a powerful combination. You make people ashamed when your broken clock matches their time, even when it's purely coincidence.

I'm going to ignore paragraph #2 because you're clearly talking out of your ass there with no particular evidence or sound reasoning.

You may be right that my first comment wasn't worth bringing up but it was really just something that tickled me.

I re-read what you wrote many times, and this may be my brazen ignorance coming through, but I still can't see how someone that has fundamental problems with the "explicit minstrel imagery" of the movie as a matter of principle will find the comments in this thread funny.

Besides the name-calling and the fact that you made stuff up about me, I appreciate you writing a long post to express your point of view. And you know, I may come back to this and say "Boy, was I wrong" but right now I just don't see it and don't think it's worth your while to try to convince me.

That was kind of the point.

Well, I didn't find them funny. In retrospect, I should have expected it, but I don't feel like your assumption that the same people who spoke in the other thread are tittering at the contributions in this one is worth taking seriously. Any more or less than my "evidence" that you are a race traitor.

Besides the name-calling and the fact that you made stuff up about me, I appreciate you writing a long post to express your point of view. And you know, I may come back to this and say "Boy, was I wrong" but right now I just don't see it and don't think it's worth your while to try to convince me.
That is the problem, in a nutshell. That's why people call you a troll, even on a forum like this one where the label is tossed around all the time. Most everyone harbors inflexibility at some point, but it you wear it like a badge of honor in inverse proportion to how principled your stand actually is.
