I considered going for a pun on his name, but I realized that it's been done to death.

You're welcome.

Gov. Charlie Crist will visit Robert E. Lee Senior High School Wednesday, June 17, to sign Senate Bill 1540, which requires school boards to revise their zero-tolerance policies to ensure that students expelled or referred to law enforcement pose a serious threat to school safety, and are not expelled or arrested for petty misconduct.

Why doesn't he explode his shirt by flexing and win a karate fight while he's at it.

Showoff.

He was a big supporter of 'Yes on 2', which was the ban on gay marriage recognition, as well as a ban on gay adoption. "Traditional family provides the best environment for children," so he's big on "pro-life and pro-family" rhetoric, which is why the meme that he's a closeted homosexual is so popular.

He also spent half a million of Florida taxpayer money on a personal vacation to Europe. Plus, the soap opera between him and the Seminole casinos is always entertaining.

Apparently, the entire Lynyrd Skynyrd band went to that high school.

You're right. He's done nothing good, and is a mustache twirling villain. My bad.

There's Robert E. Lee High Schools all over the south. There's one just a few miles from me in Northern Virginia. I hope this isn't news to you west coasters.

You've convinced me. I was right the first time around; he's pretty awesome.

It's all about where you start from and where you go. Considering the insanity & small mindedness of the current crop of Republicans, and also considering his predecessor Jeb, Crist is pretty awesome. If Crist were to take a bastion of rational thought & veer it towards Conservatism, he'd be quite a bit less awesome. But he's in Florida.

In the grand scheme of "things that celebrate the Confederacy in the South", Robert E. Lee items on their own are not usually that impressive. Bring the kids to celebrate "Southern Pride" with the carved images of Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Jefferson Motherfucking Davis at everyone's favorite tourist attraction, Stone Mountain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:StoneMountain.jpg)! Stick around for the laser light show so you can hear some Skynyrd while you're at it.

I also imagine Yosimite Sam as the poly-sci teacher at Robert E. Lee High School.

That's great. Hopefully the Democrats in the state won't do the stupid "weak on banbers" accusation.

Jeb's cussing all ya'll out in Spanish right now.

Isn't Crist's wife disabled or something? Or maybe I just remember it being a big deal because of the gay thing.
