I was expecting to see a PC stuffed into a GameCube case in this thread.

DISAPPOINT.

Videocards are quite large these days.

I don't see you mention the kind of case? Could use some pictures of it all closed up.

Very badass setup, btw.

What's the form factor of the motherboard?

Pretty sweet. I'm quite envious.

you need to tidy up in there.

MicroATX. Uniquely suited because of where its SATA ports are and their orientation. Smallest I could go for a powerful video card. Silverstone Sugo SG02B-F is relatively cheap for a niche case at $80. The next step down was a Zotac MiniITX board that had no other competitors in the form factor (paired with a Sugo SG05 case) and with dubious reliability record.

Fastest video card for the smaller SG05 (http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1419822) case would have been a GTS 250.

Waiting for my NoVibes III rubber suspension to arrive then I'll change the Scythe Kaze Server fan controller bay to the bottom 5.25" area and put the HD in the top 5.25" area.

Right now cabling is a giant mess. Right now? Who am I kidding? It'll stay a mess. Fan probably isn't on proper with the Scythe Shuriken heatsink since I fiddled with those fan clips when flipping the fan orientation.

Nice! I put together a budget gaming SFF box last year, using a Shuttle SN68SG2 (http://us.shuttle.com/barebone/Models/SN68SG2.html), 2.3GHz Athlon X2, 2 gigs of RAM, and GeForce 9800GT. Hardly a speed demon, even at the time, but cheap, compact, and (usually) quiet.

I built 3 pcs using different tiny Silverstone cases. Almost close to rage everytime from trying to fit everything in and make the wires go where I want them too. That one looks a bit better design than the ones I used.

For expensive cases, the fit and finish on Silverstone cases have always been poor. I had an expensive TJ08 mATX tower and the metal was cheap--the bay covers were unusable instantly after taking them out once based on the flex. I cut my fingers and knuckles on the insides of this one twice. Antec customer service and fit and finish have been superior.

Airflow in this thing is poor too.

So why go with Silverstone in the first place?

Cheapest cube mATX case with decent looks that could fit a long video card. Antec's cube can't do this. I don't have the money to go Lian-Li and their V350 (http://www.hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1033833930&postcount=605) is noticeably bigger in volume.

Another cm or two for a slightly better low profile HSF would have been nice.

What part is the smaller box above the main one? Is that PROBOX written on the side and the front?

probox is my 4tb external storage that I turn on/off as needed.

Did you consider the NZXT Rogue (http://www.nzxt.com/products/rogue/)? Supposed to be fairly roomy for a microATX case; I like that it has 4 HDD bays, though that probably makes it pretty cramped.

Four...terabytes?

SO FULL OF ENVY!

The NZXT is basically an Apevia X-QPack (which I've had one of in the past) with different exterior. It's larger than the SG02-F and wasn't available locally. The SG02-F was so I went with that. Also, too much gawdy g4m3r bling-bling LED light and window stuff.

The SG02 has a more understated front. I can tape electrical tape over the 2 blue lights and then flip up the front cover so there's no lights visible anywhere.

Mostly multiple redundant backups of previous disks that I promise to myself I'll go through eventually but never do.
