Internet Explorer 8

When I have multiple tabs open, I have a list of quicklinks I like to use (currently it's anchored on my taskbar). The annoying thing is that I might be writing a post, then go to check something using a quick-link, then it uses my first tab instead of the current tab.

Not sure if this makes sense, but I'm hoping someone could tell me how I can change settings so the quick-links open in a new tab or use the current tab, instead of wiping out my first tab. Thanks.

This might do it:

Internet Options->General->Tabs->Settings->open links from other programs in:->A new tab in the current window
