What just happened to my XBox controller?

Sitting here, on the couch, browsing QT3, XBox on, but being ignored.

Controller next to me just starts VIBRATING as hard as it can for no reason.

I pull and replace the battery.

It no longer turns on.

Look at the bottom. You'll see a little switch. It's okay by default, but I think yours got switched from "Good" to "Evil".

Swap in a different battery? Also, try restarting your xbox.

I've had that happen. Switching batteries and restarting the Xbox did the trick for me.
