So I just went to the alcohol shelf in our pantry, and found stocks are very, very low. I'm down to Famous Grouse, a bit of Wild Turkey rye, some cheap vanilla vodka, and white creme de cacao. I'm not feeling particularly whiskey tonight, so... chocolate martinis it is!

2 parts vodka, 1 part creme de cacao -- shake with ice, strain, and drink. Drop a hershey's kiss or something in it in lieu of an olive if you want to get all fancy.

(Yes, I know that's not really a martini, but that's what most places call it anyway)

So, post your favorite girl drinks, and let's all get girl drink drunk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_H_sVNgvf4)!

Cap'n morgan and cream soda.
Cap'n morgan and A&W.
Feel free to use either regular spiced or Parrot Bay Coconut in either of those, it's utterly delicious.

Nutella martinis.

Hazelnut liqueur, creme de cacao or Godiva chocolate liqueur, vodka. I can't remember the proportions other than "get tipsy and pour liberally into a shaker." Which is also the reason I will never be able to drink these ever again. :(

I used to like the Amaretto Sours. However, I would now need a pitcher to get drunk and the sweet would get me sick first.

Ok, does it make me a girl if I drink Southern Comfortband Lime in a tumbler oon the rocks?

A South African favourite is called a Spingbokkie. 1/2 Peppermint liquer, 1/2 Cape Velvet or Amarula in a shot glass.

I've never heard of either of those until now, Brendan. I wonder if they can be purchased in the USA.

Brendan

They are cream based liquers. You could probably substitute Bailey's irish cream or something.

Well, thats also illegal/amoral. Getting drunk alongside the girl isn't nearly as bad.

I still have a bottle of Amarula, bur I've never seen it outside South Africa.
It's remiscent of Baileys, but not the same. Perhaps you can get it in a large specialist liquer store.

And yes, just drinking Southern Comfort will make you a girl.

The famous JGilbey's Espresso Martini:

One double espresso
2 oz Stoli vanil
1/2 oz creme de cacao dark
Shake with ice and pour.

Take heavy whipping cream and whip until you get a soft, pourable whipped cream and layer over the top, about 1/4" thick at the rim of the martini glass. Enjoy!

BTW--Amarula is pretty widely available in the US.

One more: The Girl Scout Cookie (this one works best as a shot, but I've seen folks try to make a full-fledged drink of it too):

3 parts Bailey's Irish cream (1 1/2 oz if you're making a shot)
1 part green creme de menthe (1/2 oz if a shot).

Strain through ice and shoot.

The famous JGilbey's Chocolate Martini:

2 oz Absolut Vanilia
2 oz Godiva white chocolate liqueur
Add melted vanilla ice cream to fill mixing can to the first mark, shake with ice and pour into a glass prepared as follows:

Take a very cold bottle of Hershey's syrup (the syrup has to be cold to hold it's shape) and make a curlicue swirl through the martini glass. Pour the mix inside, top off with chocolate shavings.

Ok, if anyone needs me I'll be in the shower with a bottle of Southern Comfort.

I'll see you in about three days.

I used to mix Shakers rose vodka with sour mix, tasted kind of like turkish delight. I haven't been able to find the rose vodka for a while now, though; I think it was discontinued. I guess you could use regular vodka and rose syrup, but I haven't tried.

Though, come to think of it, I have both of those downstairs. Excuse me for a moment.

Sandra Lee's "Mapletini" recipe, which I've never tried because the thought of it makes me want to hurl. Still, it seems to fit in this thread.

Ingredients

2 shots Irish cream liqueur
1 shot brandy
1/2 shot cinnamon schnapps
1 teaspoon maple syrup
Ice
Cinnamon stick, for garnish
Directions
Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with cinnamon stick.

Has anyone here infused vodka with roasted beets? It's amazingly fantastic on ice.

Southern Comfort is so girly you don't have to mix it with anything. I just drink it straight.

But here's an actual contribution to the thread

Fill a glass with ice
Add
1/2 shot Passoa
1/2 shot Licor 43
Fill up with passion fruit juice

Sweet, brightly coloured, and very girly.

Jesus Christ guys. Man up in here brothers.

I'll excuse Talisker.

Though I admit, I do like Cointreau on the rocks, or Disaronno mixed with a bit of bourbon.

Yeah, these drinks all sound kinda vile. But to show that I try, here are my fruity beers I just started fermenting:

Grapefruit
Lemon
Blackberry
Strawberry
Coriander

All with a Hefeweizen base. Yeah, they probably all won't work, but I know they already have alcohol in them at least.

Ooo! I don't like beer, but I can drink Belgian brewer Lindeman's Kriek (cherry), Framboise (raspberry), and Pêche (peach) beers.

The only other beer I can stand is Chimay Bleue, which I can sip like an apperatif.

My uncle makes these un-be-fucking-lievable frozen margaritas. They're exceptionally delicious lime margaritas that he "enhances" by drizzling some cointreau on top after he's poured them into your glass. Holy schmagoly, they were so delicious I almost fell off my chair. Oh, wait, that was the alcohol doing that. Still. Yum.

I threw a bunch of stuff together just now and it works pretty well.

Approximately equal amounts of Sailor Jerry rum, Vanilla Smirnoff, cranberry juice, lime-ade, and OJ.

Tastes kind of like grapefruit juice.

This stuff is yummy with pumpkin pie! Now I wish I'd bought the 1L instead of the 750mL. Thanks, Brendan.

By the way, I did this tonight and it was great! I shook together pomegranate vodka, a dollop of rose syrup, and sour mix. It ended up tasting sort of candylike (the hallmark of any true Girl Drink) and the rose flavor was noticeable but not overpowering. Cat Master even had one and he normally frowns upon my booze experiments.

My old band used to rehearse under this crappy dance club, but we'd usually rehearse Wednesday nights and be done early enough that the bar was open, but it was before the crowds would start. Our bass player was fond of trying all kinds of random concoctions, but eventually stumbled upon this one that proved a big hit, which he named the Nut n' Honey.

In a small-to-medium-sized glass (depending on your preferred potency), combine:

1/2 oz. Banana Liqueur
1/2 oz. Creme de Cacao
1/2 oz. Amaretto

Serve on the rocks and fill the rest of the glass with milk. Spend of the night embarrassed that it's a girl drink, but it's too good to stop drinking. To the best of my understanding, there is still an otherwise grotty rock club in Northern Ontario where you can ask for a Nut n' Honey, and you're gonna get scowled at (the bar staff was mad they had to learn what one was, as we kept insisting they make it and it caught on), but you're gonna get served. :)

Utterly delicious. Makes 4 servings. Or 1 if you're really thirsty.

At a cousin's wedding they gave us champagne with Hypnotiq and a blueberry that bounced around in the bubbles. It was fantastic.
