Well, then, Blue Crush is Citizen Kane with an all hot chick cast. Unless you'd rather see a bunch of cute guys like James LeGros half-naked at the beach, this is the new surfing movie to beat.

The chicks in Blue Crush have nice bodies, yes. But their faces leave something to be desired... like attractiveness. Anyone had a good long look at one of the movie posters up close? Yikes! Put a bag on 'em. My roommate and I figured they were cast because they are real surfers, not because they look good.

Haven't seen the movie, but from all the photos of Kate Bosworth I gotta agree... there's just something about her face that's a bit off-setting.

I have no idea about Blue Crush... however, my girlfriend brought some of that Blue Pepsi shit over here the other night. It's pretty rank.

I have no idea about Blue Crush... however, my girlfriend brought some of that Blue Pepsi shit over here the other night.

The other day I made a "marketing test suicide" out of the aforementioned Blue Pepsi (foul), some new Dr. Pepper variant called "Red Fusion" (ghastly foul), the new Vanilla Coke (eh, okay) and the relatively new Diet Lemon Coke (foul, yet lemony fresh). The resultant absinthe-green concoction didn't kill me, and in fact was marginally better than Blue Pepsi on its own -- but that's like saying The Partridge Family as a group was not as gutwrenchingly horrible as David Cassidy's solo work.
