So apparently the first batch of manuals printed are missing the last digit of the registration code you need to install the game. Here is EA's suggestion:

----------
There is currently a work around that may allow you to bypass this issue. Since you have the first 19 characters of the code already, you can basically try "guessing" the last character. To do this, simply enter your existing code, and then for the last character, try the letters A-Z, and then the numbers 0-9. You should eventually get the right combination, and be able to play the game. If this does not work, you can follow the instructions below.

In order to get a replacement code, please click the "Contact Us" link on the left side of the page, and attach an image of your code to the incident.
----------

So... I either attempt to exchange my open PC game with another at GameStop and hope I get a good manual, or I spend half an hour trying every letter and number until I land on the correct last digit (which I've already begun doing and every 3 invalid attempts makes you retype the whole thing), or I take a pic of the code with my camera, upload it, and email it to EA and wait for their response.

I'm seriously annoyed, EA owes us some fucking reparations for this...

Well, 10 numbers and 8 letters later, I finally got it. Didn't take TOO much time, still annoying enough that I feel I deserve a coupon off a future purchase or something...

What??? You think this is actionable? Do you even know what a class action suit is or what is involved/required?

All he said was class action, he didn't say lawsuit. I'm pretty sure that means he wants to put someone in time out.

Based on your name, you probably know a bit more than the rest of us ;)

Please don't get him started, I'd rather my eyes didn't bleed today.

That's a hilarious cock up from EA. Another reason to buy digital downloads...from someone other than EA.

Yeah, this happened to me too. I was annoyed at first, but after checking the ea forums and reading all the irate 12 year olds complain about a missing number I figured life is too short to get upset over shit like this. Especially when it took me a full 5 min to guess the number.

Sadly, I am a little TOO familiar with the legal system!

Thanks for the laugh, I needed it. My "only once a day because I'm trying to lose weight" chocolate milk came right through my nose. Well done sir!
