Aaaaaaah yeeeeeah! (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20030716/ts_nm/health_masturbation_dc_6) NEWSFLASH: Frequent masturbation lowers the risk in males for prostate cancer. At my rate of self gratification, I would wager about ten of you are completely safe from prostate cancer as well.
"Men have many ways of using their prostate which don't involve women or other men," he added.
And how.

I was just about to post this myself, when I noticed that Tyjenks had already beaten me to the punch. Proof, if any further proof were needed, that he is the only wanker on this forum greater than myself.
Anyway, here's the BBC's version:

This Sydney article, where the study originated, is worth it just for the headline: Handy Way to Beat Cancer (http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2003/07/16/1058035079098.html)
Damn, I wish we had headlines like that around here. Word is Peter Frazier and Sean Tudor were both involved in the study. I bet they have first-hand knowledge of the findings. ***ba-dum-bum***

That's probably just about enough of those.

One way to doubt this study, from Jay Leno last night:
"If masturbation reduced prostate cancer, there would be no prostate cancer"

Yeah, this is probably just a cheap ploy from the people who make hand creame.

A wank a day keeps the doctor away ...
I think wanking is a national pasttime here in Australia.
I feel so guilty when I wank
"Every conceivable ill from pimples to insanity, including stooped shoulders, loss of weight, fatigue, insomnia, general weakness, loss of manly vigour, weak eyes, digestive upsets, stomach ulcers, impotence, feeble-mindedness, genital cancer, and the rest, was ascribed to masturbation.
Patients in mental institutions were observed to engage in frequent masturbation, and this seemed significant proof that the insanity was a product of the sexual behaviour. Since the lives of university scholars were not so easily observed, it was no so generally known that masturbation occurred quite as frequently among them."
Alfred Kinsey
Negative ideas about masturbation can be very influential for many of us, since they were pounded into us, sometimes literally, as children and adults. You may feel guilty about doing something which you were told was sinful or you may feel a vague kind of discomfort which has no particular content other than that you are doing something which isn't "nice".
Because of these feelings, and also because men have had little permission and practice in being sensual, many men do not derive as much pleasure as they could from masturbating. It is usually done very quickly, the whole object being to achieve orgasm and get it over with.
However, masturbation has definite therapeutic benefits. Masturbation is good for learning ejaculatory control and in dealing with erection problems. You can use it to learn about your body and its needs, and to learn skills useful in sex with a partner.
And for anyone who wishes to enage in further study of wanking I recommend - Your Penis - A Handbook (http://www.six.com.au/penis/index.shtml).

No wonder Cleve moved there.
BTW, does this mean we can now start charging porn to our health insurance? It's preventative therapy!
