Images of the three cups were shown on the television station and the woman said she was three months pregnant at the time of the “birth”.
The Mozambican association of traditional healers (Ametramo) told the station that there was nothing strange about the story.
If somebody can tell me that The Citizen is South Africa's version of the Onion or the Weekly World News, I'm not sure if I'd be relieved or disappointed.

There's nothing strange about this story, Rollory. RTFA, it says so right in the part you quoted.

He said the woman needed to be treated with traditional medicines in order to exorcise the “evil spirits” which made her give birth to the cups.
Is it just me, or have evil spirits really fallen down on their game lately? I expect the birth of demons and whatnot, not cups. That's just not frightening.

Those aren't cups - those are diaphragms!

Were they regulation stackers or just random tumblers?
Sigh. If only there were one fewer cups, then we could have a great "2 cups 1 girl" joke.

Hey, you don't know what'll happen when someone tries drinking out of one of them. Maybe it'll make the water taste funny, or something.

The baby was under one of the cups and when they were coming out of her they were all spinning around and the doctors had to guess which cup had the baby. Two doctors lost $20 each.

Seriously. I cannot believe Rollory did not know how cups are made.
