View Full Version : Birth Certificate Bombshell!

So it looks like those rumors of Obama's secret Muslim birth certificate were true! Big shout out to all the tireless crusaders, nitpicking about kerning and font choice on a Hawaiian birth certificate that was a digital template and not supposed to be a scan of his original physical birth certificate in the first place!

Sorry, but I thought this was funny as all fuck and couldn't think of a thread it would be particularly appropriate in.

This comes as no surprise.

You should try using the tubes and visiting his website (http://www.barackobama.com/index.php). These websites can show you things, like issues, and his legislative record (http://factcheck.barackobama.com/factcheck2/legislative_record/).
I know those scary underlined blue words look frightening, but you should try clicking them sometime. Oh, reading helps too.

Ohh sick burn.

I haven't decided yet. McCain is doing alot of dumbshit things. Kissing up to Republican ideals, kowtowing to Bush. However, back in 2000, he didn't do these things. And he lost in the primaries. He might be a different President, but I'll have to look deeper into his voting record and the other things he's done. Alot of what McCain is doing now is just to secure the Presidency.
I can't say that Obama is different. He voted for FISA to "move to the center". Beyond the fact that I know Obama will take action and vote on anything to become President, there's very little I know about him based upon his voting record.
I SAID READING HELPS TOO!
"We report, you decide."
Everything that is reported depends on reading, comprehension and prejudice.

comprehension
You can't
and prejudice.
You do have plenty of that, no doubt.
Not that you can read this or anything, but this set of words with a blue line underneath them (http://obama.senate.gov/votes/) will take you to senate.gov, and let you query his record.
However if you won't believe what Obama says about Obama's record, and you won't believe what the senate says about his record, then I guess you'll have to go back to consulting the taser wielding gnome of burning compassion in your back yard.

Speaking of words and blue lines, I found some about Obama's stance on FISA that doesn't quite match up with Dirt's understanding of his reasoning. Hrm. http://my.barackobama.com/page/community/post/rospars/gGxsZF
It seems that questioning the Democrat's messiah, Obama, is as acceptable as questioning the Republican's messiah, Bush.

Why can't you just say "I don't like Obama's platform" or "I am still bitter that Hillary lost" rather than trying to paint the Democratic faithful as cultists?

Because cultists just don't do that.
I believe the point I was trying to make was pretty much the opposite of "How dare you question him?"
In fact, it was pretty much, "Question him. Here, I'll make it so easy even a three year old can do it. Click this link. Don't believe that, try this link, or this link. I am daring you to actually read and learn something. Double dog daring."
Alas, Fail.

That is a nice attempt, but dirt's opposition to Obama is as rational as he is, which is to say, not at all.
A Venn Diagram of dirt's thought process would show that his posts emanate from the overlapping union of ignorance (either willful or stemming from natural stupidity), racism (which he rationalizes as tribal imperative) and inanity (including a subset that encompasses his trollish tendencies).
That the space between Obama and Hillary's (his stated preferred candidate) policies is practically non-existent does not matter. That his opponent heads a party that has led the country into wrack and ruin, does not matter. Obama could champion a policy slate that dirt wrote, and it wouldn't matter.
When will the Taser Wielding Gnome of Burning Compassion let Dirt learn?!?!

Obama's site is as believable as Paris Hilton's Presidential campaign (she has a pretty good energy policy, btw). Nice words, but where is the action?
I'm sure there was many of us here who thought that Obama would vote against FISA. He had originally said he would vote against it. It would have been okay if he had just said that he needed to review it further before he made a decision. But, he said he would vote against it. Then he went back on his own word and voted for it. Everything else is legalese.
Fuck lawyers.
More and more I am believing that Obama is just another conventional politician.

Why is a politician changing his mind on an issue automatically a negative thing? Obama at least explained his decision to vote for FISA. Whether the reader agrees with his decision is entirely up to the reader, but he never acted in a deceitful manner, he simply changed his mind and decided to vote for instead of against and explained why.
A big part of the problem with the political process currently is the idea that politicians must come packaged with absolute positions and answers for everything, that there can be no room for doubt or growth or consideration, they simply must know and must tell us exactly what they know, never deviating from their carefully constructed positions. Expecting that kind of unblinking rigidity is bad, regardless of what side of the political fence you're on.

This is sort of disingenuous of you, isn't it? You've never been an Obama supporter, it's not like you ever thought he was a great candidate.
Some of us never thought of him as anything but a conventional politician.
For me, the difference between Obama and every other democrat since, say, 1992, is that he is actually capable of running a campaign that isn't a train wreck. Worth noting that as of this week we have conclusive proof that Hillary's campaign was another classic democratic party mess.
I'm not happy about his cave in on FISA, but I expect disappointment. At this point, I'd be overjoyed by having to deal with only minor as opposed to crushing disappointment in my government.
Obama's site is as believable as Paris Hilton's Presidential campaign (she has a pretty good energy policy, btw). Nice words, but where is the action?
So wait, you're complaining that he hasn't enacted his presidential policies before he is president? Or do you think senate.gov is just another website like britneyrulz.com?
I am confused. Please consult the Taser Wielding Gnome of Burning Compassion and let me know soon, k?
