Taskbar buttons blinking to get my attention drives me INSANE.
I installed TweakUI a long time ago, which has a wonderful setting to make taskbar buttons blink only ONCE, and then stay solid orange until I switch to that app. This is so awesome.
However, for some reason Windows Live Messenger completely ignores that setting. When someone IMs me, that window's taskbar button will flash like 30 times. It's just about the most annoying thing ever when I'm trying to do some work (which is always).
Has anyone got any suggestions for how to fix this behavior, or why it occurs? Is WLM bypassing the OS/TweakUI settings and doing its own blinking and I'm just going to have to deal with it? That would be sad. :(
For the record, this comp is on XP (though if you're familiar with TweakUI you probably already assumed that).
