squeaky sneakers

My hi-top white one white Nikes have suddenly become squeaky. I can no longer quietly pad down the hall to go to the bathroom or get a cup of coffee. I can't believe Nike is letting me down like this. It's really annoying. I'm feeling terribly self-conscious.

Is there some balm or oil you can purchase to make sneakers quiet again?

Take some sandpaper. Rub the soles for a bit until they're rough again.

Spray the soles with silicone lubricant. Problem solved! (but you'll fall down a lot.)

You could get them resoled. More expensive, but they'll last another lifetime.
