Trying to find the latest game in the Sand Hell lineage.

I'm trying to find the latest in series of Japanese games that involve sand and fire and napalm and plants and fighters. A friend of mine is in love with Sand Hell, but I can't find the latest version with the fighters and heat dynamics.

I know there was a thread about the game here, but damn if I can find it.
