Sweet.

I downloaded it from Bittorrent, because it's the least invasive of all the movie services. WMV file FTW!

Sting, eh? Sounds more like a Paul Winter soundtrack!

And if it's a free download, why is CinemaNow charging $5, "a portion of which" will go to environmental charities?

When I try and get it from the bittorrent site I am asked to enter credit card details, even though the price is listed as free.

The "partners" in this obviously all have different definitions of free. I'm pretty sure Cinemanow is the only one who has the gall to charge for something advertised as free. Try Amazon or Bittorrent for truly free.

You have to have an account on the site to get movies, even the free ones. You don't get charged if you "purchase" a free movie.

I created an account, do they also want to keep your credit card details handy with your account?

Yeah, it's like iTunes. You can't sign up for iTunes without a credit card. They want you to be able to make impulse buys without a single barrier, and pre-loading that credit card lets them give you one-click satisfaction.

It's awesome that they're giving this away, but this is the worst execution of an electronic giveaway I've ever seen. I'm fine with making an account or filling out a shirt survey or viewing an ad or something, but having to make an account with credit card details? Boo. Also, most of these video services don't work outside of the US, and even with Hotspot Shield I can't grab the film.

I'll wait until TorrentFreak puts up a real torrent, which I assume they will.

Clearly, you all hate the earth.

Yeah this sucks. Most of them aren't available outside the US and they require credit card details.
