Good SINGLE player mods/levels?

Are there good places to find high quality single player mods/levels for shooters? There are like a million MP mods/levels out there, but not many single player ones or (I hope) I'm just not finding them. Don't really care what engine, although I primarily play CoD, HL2, SWAT4 (although, granted, that one is getting long in the tooth, it's still one of my favorites), and...hmmmm, that's probably it, but I'd probably check out a Doom 3 or Quake 4 mod.

If you are willing to go way back to Half Life 1, there are some good ones, like the They Hunger series, and Azure Sheep.

I'd be curious to know if there were good single player mods for other games.

I know that I played through Doom 3 with the ducktape mod. I wouldn't have made it through the game without it. It ducktaped your flashlight to your machine gun and shotgun. All the other weapons still didn't have light, so it wasn't completely different from the core Doom 3 experience.

I wish there was a clean HUD mod for Doom3. I played through most of it with the HUD turned off which made it fun. I never new exactly what my armor/health status was. However not having a reticule was a pain.

If your willing to go all the way back to Doom, Quake, and Quake 2, you'll have enough levels and campaigns to last the rest of your life. Generally, the lower the level of technology, the easier it is to create a user made level. To this day, online co-operative servers still flourish in many of these games.

There's another Doom3 mod that duct tapes the flashlight to everything, even your starting pistol. Much better.
