I took the plunge and got a PS3 the other day. Picked up Guitar Hero (and I actually really really like it). Just one problem....the whammy bar doesn't seem to do much. When I go into the options to "set it up", it works fine. But when I am in a song, nothing.
Any ideas? Any one else having these issues?
Thanks
Chris
I have this problem on the 360 version. The whammy bar pretty regularly just stops working. This is fixed by pausing and recalibrating (i find moving the whammy bar very slowly during the calibration helps). So maybe try that?
Not sure if it's a problem at large or just me, but it sucks because there's no whammy bar calibration = no whammying in Rock Band.

on another board, i was told to only use it on the long notes. I knew that....but it still doesn't really work very good. I have tried to recalibrate....it seems to respond there, but no while playing the actual game

Sorry guys, I've had no problems with my whammy bar. It sounds to me like you should contact Activision for a replacement. Or at least send an email to tech support telling them the problem, and see if they tell you they'll send a replacement.
I don't like the fact that I've gone through 2 Rock Band guitars already, but I do love that EA sends me a replacement guitar by 2-day delivery. I wonder if Activision's turnaround on broken instruments is that good?

If you're talking about GH3, it's a lot fiddlier than 2 or Rock Band about giving you star power.
