One snub at a time.
Aw, she's likeable enough.

I guess if Dirt can't find substantive criticisms to make about Obama, he'll settle for inane, junior high school-level ones. Hey Dirt, I also heard from a guy that knows a girl that was hanging out by the lockers after recess, and she totally overheard Obama talking shit about your mom.
He says he wants to change the way DC works, but he can't even follow his own words. If he can't work with members of his own party, imagine what he'd do should the GOP attack him (as they attacked Bill Clinton) during his Presidency. I've always believed that it's these little things (especially if you think nobody is watching) that really show the character of the person and not the high, flowing words they use during speeches.

Especially when the big things all paint a different picture.
It's the little things, coming together, that paints the true picture.

Why do you try so hard to convince everyone that you're a complete dope? In any case, you can stop now. We're sold on it.
Dope? Me? I'm not the one posting about my awkward advances toward women. That's just embarrassing. It can be funny. But embarrassing.

I don't know, I can kind of see Dirt's point.
But I think taken in context--it happened on the day Kennedy endorsed Obama, which some people found shocking--one can give Obama the benefit of the doubt in trying not to make the meeting between Kennedy & Clinton more awkward than it already was.

Yeah, I mean it's right there in the blog:
UPDATE: Speaking about the moment Tuesday morning, Obama advisor David Axelrod said in an interview on MSNBC the Illinois senator was not trying to snub Clinton.
"I think he knew that Senator Kennedy and Senator Clinton were friends," he said. "This was obviously an awkward day from that standpoint, and I don't think he wanted to stand there while Senator Kennedy was greeting Senator Clinton. And I think that was an appropriate sentiment."
Seems reasonable enough to me.

In context or out of it, it's ridiculous. First of all, I wouldn't shake Hillary Clinton's hand either, because I assume I'd be instantly turned into a frog. Second, who the fuck cares. He's not best friends with Clinton, I'm quite sure he didn't have anything to say to her, so why in hell would he be obligated to stand around waiting for her to get done chatting with Ted Kennedy so he could have a chance to shake her hand, like some doe-eyed kid waiting in line for a Sammy Sosa autograph?

Did you read post #7 for pertinency? No need to get too defensive though, dude. I actually thought it was a kinda cute. That's why I offered up some advice.

Ted Kennedy, an old Clinton friend/ally had just endorsed Obama. Kennedy was interacting with Clinton, and the last thing Obama wanted to do was stand there like an asshole going "Hey Hillary! Check out my buddy Ted here! How's your day been? Heard any good endorsements?" So he backed off, scanned the crowd for other people to talk to, and stayed out of it. He was trying to avoid even the appearance of twisting the knife.
Look at his response when given a chance to nuke Bill for the Jesse Jackson crack coming out of SC. He let Clinton off the hook on the racism thing, made a soft past vs future distinction (it's an attack, portraying Bill as out of touch, but it's an incredibly polite attack considering the alternatives available), and then let it go.

Well, except in the other thread, where you were claiming that it was the substantive things. But that tact didn't work out, so now you had to start a new thread about how he didn't shake Hillary's hand this one time when they were waiting for a speech to start. I mean, jesus fucking christ. We get it. You hate Obama, and are looking for something--anything--that you can latch onto to justify your opinion. Even if all you can dig up is a gossip-mongering blog post from a 24-hour news network based on a glimpsed exchange from across a crowded room.

Hate is a strong word. I don't hate Obama, I don't know him. But I do support Hillary.

So, what do all the "little things" that Hillary does tell you about her character?

Surprise, surprise, people in the middle of a heated primary battle aren't on very good terms.
If Obama is going to run on the above-the-fray come together stuff, though, he's kind of setting himself up to look bad in situations like this. Hillary, amusingly, doesn't catch flak for it because she's not running on that narrative.
