COD4 Multiplayer completely broken?

Is anyone but me having trouble getting even one game off the ground lately? These last two evenings i have been lucky to even get two rounds completed during a three hour session due to "game lobby being closed" or games simply not starting or lagging out immediately after starting.

Now there were a few problems the first couple of days as well, but this is really getting out of hand.

Also: My 360 seems to hang when searching for multiplayer games, i.e. the guide button does not bring up the 360 menu screen etc. Anyone else have this? Please don't say that my 360 i dying again?

I'm in Europe btw, if that is relevant.

I haven't been having that sort of problem at all. I don't play often because my internet gets hella flakey in the afternoon, but everything's run really smoothly since I got the game, and I played like six rounds earlier today.

I have connect to server issues occassionally that are resolved by trying to connect a few times. A buddy of mine couldn't log on tonight for a while cause of a 'key in use error'....but once in, no problems here...

i had major connection problems for 2 days, but as of yesterday everything connects and loads instantly and plays flawlessly. i think they had master server issues which are now fixed?

If you looked at the in-game message of the day yesterday (displayed in the lower left-hand corner of the screen at the main menu), Infinity Ward acknowledged the issues and said that they were working on it.

We go around it by having a big private match last night; add some Qt3ers to your friends list if the problem persists tonight and you still want to get some multiplayer in.

Yesterday was a disaster CoD4 MP wise. I was surprised that not only was I unable to play matches 90% of the time (I would get booted right before it began, or spawn into an empty map), but my 360 would frequently hang. Just for giggles I tried Halo, and that also had trouble connecting, so I don't know what the deal is. And in the lobby section I kept running into other people who were really pissed about the problems, which we'd all bitch about until inevitably we were kicked out before the game started.

I was really mad because I only needed 5 xp for Sgt 2. 5 xp!

Yeah, Xbox Live has been having a lot of issues the last couple of days. I had trouble with CoD4 as well.

Live was down Monday night/Tuesday morning for a few hours for maintenance. It seems to always get wonky for a day or two when they do that.
