A magazine with the moniker PCXL is indeed for sale on newsstands across the continent, but instead of full-fledged ongoing publication, this new edition of PCXL is a one-shot special issue.

I saw it at the local Safeway. I picked it up and almost considered buying it, but it had an absurd cover price (like $10 or something) so I put it back down.

For what it tried to be, I thought PC Accelerator was a pretty funny read. I remember they did a story on drinking and driving in video games. It was pretty hilarious. It was certainly the most juvenile of all the gaming mags, but it was funny in its' place.

I've heard of both of those, but never read them.

I do remember the twin console and PC magazines. I think the Rock was on the PC launch cover, and Lara Croft was on the console launch cover. Or maybe it was the other way round.
