Anybody but me download this new little Loco Roco ps3 game? I enjoyed the psp version and spent a lot of time hunting down all the little singing Christmas ornaments, so I grabbed this one too - it's similar in the goal (gotta catch em all!) but you no longer control the 'world' using the controller as in the psp game, but have a little butterfly who leads the little round dudes. I would imagine if you liked the portable game this one will work for you too, plus it's cheap at $6.99.

As a side note, I am not finding the motion detecting control functions of the ps3 controller very easy to get into; I actually catch myself using grossly exaggerated movements - so you can shake trees to make the little blobs fall out so I'm pumping my arms up and down like I'm pushing along one of those two man railroad cars that only seemed to exist in old Laurel and Hardy movies. Is this something that becomes more natural with time? I havn't found a game yet that really seemed to work it in well.

Sweet - I didn't know this existed. I'm a little disappointed to hear that it's not really the same game - the motion control seems a pretty natural fit for the world tilting stuff. I'll have to try this version out when I get home.

I think the sixaxis bullshit works best when used in a subtle fashion - for example, I like how you have to shake it to get dudes off you in Resistance. Other games I've felt pretty indifferent towards - the "aftertouch" thing in Heavenly Sword seemed really touchy, but I was getting better at it by the end of the game. I've only had my PS3 about a week or so now, so I haven't played much else.

I think that's true no matter how long you've owned it.

I played the free demos but I dont know that I could stand enough of that music to actually pay for the whole game.

Yeah, I got it yesterday. There's only one "level" as far as I know, but you seem to unlock additional sections when you complete it. For instance, the first time through you only need 40 little guys to finish but the total number you can get is 200.

For 6 bucks, I think it's a nice little game, even if it doesn't quite match the original. I'd gladly pay money for a port of the PSP version to the PSN.
